Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

Wish You a Very Happy New Year.... I appreciate the way our respected Prime Minister is working hard and smartly....still small ideas may helpful..... small crimes are booster for new and big criminals... if we take it seriously a mobile/Chain snatching .. then we can control the big crimes... currently you will hardly find police station filing an FIR for mobile/Chain/vehical stealing... just to show a fake controlled crime rate. It shuld be real ... Please give special ordrs to stp smal crimes

I think one of the most important aspects to be taken care of is the physical infrastructure near tribal schools. Is the place attractive enough for a good teacher with normal expectations in life to stay there with his or her family ? In terms of a house, hospital, transport facilities, road communications etc, a good deal of improvement is needed, so that a teacher willingly stays in tribal areas and thus gets motivated to concentrate on his or her job.

We should look beyond the smart cities and should focus more on tribal areas.I have seen how tribal are living.they dont know even the name of their Cheif minister name.First of all govenrment should concentrate on tribal areas and educate them.Automatically religion conversion will stop also.

IDEA=> Discovering Local Talent Every village in India has got some local talent. e.g. in Handicraft, jewellary making,Music,Craft etc. So my point of view is to bring out there local talent on the Global level for there Development. Firstly, we have to search traditional talent & then establish the centre there, changes & shaps there talent along with teaching them some Soft skills for there development. Thus, by discovering themselves we can grow our vilage economically & make it prosperous.

I have seen Jamshedpur it has been brought up by Tata very well. Like that if we try to give license to the industries on the assurance of that they will develop schools, will give free education to tribal people and will work for the development of that area in which they are operating it will be a good option.
