Meerut a Historical city well known for 1857 freedom struggle. A second largest cantonment, centre for manufacturing export quality sports goods, musical instruments, scissors, jewellery making and impressive hub of printing press and power looms. A city of highly reputed educational institutes, universities, engineering colleges and health facilities.
Meerut being located in NCR region provides great opportunity for construction industries and a very rich source of highly skilled, semi-skilled human resource, a big distribution centre for agriculture produce, these all provide a great potential in economical development and high level of living standard. Meerut has a great potential to become a smart city in real sense.
Meerut has been selected under “Smart City Round -2” All citizens of Meerut are requested kindly to participate actively in all citizens’ engagement process so that a right place of Meerut the goal of smart city is achieved
Nagar Nigam Meerut invites all its citizens to participate and give their innovative ideas to become Meerut Smart City. Citizen & stakeholders are requested to post their suggestion pertaining to the proposal till 25th June 2016.

Meerut is education hub, all medical facilities, sports industry, sugarcane belt, city of freedom struggle and ancient historical importance. It must be selected as smart city but crime rate in Meerut is required to be controlled, emphasis to be given on solid waste management and use of alternate sources of energy including solar energy. Farmers are required to educated for modern technology and are required to be supported technically. MDA needs to control illegal construction and widen roads

there is not a good facilities. Very insecurity for women. roads are in very poor condition. Electric cut is very high. this city needs actually improvement.

Western up has a abundant sunlight almost through the year... I wish if solar energy could be harnessed by each house of meerut so as to reduce dependence on conventional resources as well as to approach sustainable development.. this can make meerut not just smarter but smartest

मेरठ मैं लोगो को शिक्षित करके उनको रोजगार उपलब्ध करने की जयादा आवश्यकता है अगर शिक्षित और रोजगार होंगे तो लोग अपराध की तरफ नहीं जायेंगे जिससे भय मुक्त वातावरण बनेगा और यहाँ का व्यापर बढेगा. यहाँ न तो इंडस्ट्रीज हैं और न ही कोई रोजगार के साधन हैं आये दिन लूटमार,अपहरण सुनने को मिलते हैं और पुलिस मूक दर्शक बनी है |ट्रैफिक और सुरक्षा लचर, प्रदूषण ज्यादा और नगर निगम पर लोगो का विश्वास नहीं है सरकारी व्यवस्था को लोगो मैं विश्वास ज़माने की आवश्यकता है की जनता का पैसा सही दिशा में इस्तेमाल हो रहा है |

मेरठ में नगर निगम की कचरा ले जाने वाली परिवहन व्यवस्था बेहद ख़राब है सभी गाड़ियों का डाला खुला रहता है जिससे कूड़ा करकट सड़क पर बिखरता जाता है और सड़क पर शहर से लेकर गांवडी गाँव तक गंदगी रहती है जिसे सुधारना अति आवश्यक है | मेरा सुझाव है की इस प्रकार की निगम के सभी वाहनों को तिरपाल ढक कर ले जाने की उचित व्यवस्था कराई जाए ताकि मेरठ शहर की सड़कों को साफ़ सुथरा रखा जा सके | डंपिंग ग्राउंड में जो कूड़ा डाला जाता है उसमे निगम द्वारा आग लगाईं जाती है जिससे वहां की लोगो की स्वास्थ्य पर बुरा असर पड़ रहा है |

मेरठ दिल्ली के बहुत करीब है। मेरठ क्रांति धरा है। मेरठ स्पोर्ट्स गुड्स का हब है। मेरठ एजुकेशन हब है।मेरठ को स्मार्ट सिटी बनना ही है।

it will improve traffic conditions and strong Basic Infrastructure ....and it wil l besic need of us... exp- good roads,pure water,traffic rules, job opportunities, security of everyone..... ect. Then meerut became progressed day by day ..anybody can't stop progress of Meerut.....Thank you

Meerut city bus transport system improve Karna hoga ,new route par bus chalani hogi,system ko online Karna hoga ,aap banake sari information phone par honi chaiye , local private bus band honi chaiye, diesel auto band hone chaiye
