Can NRIs play a more active role in increasing tourist arrivals to India? How can this effort become more institutionalized?

...so for the longest time I was always impressed with South East Asian airport lounges (and still am). But recently, I traveled to Mauritius, and while the smaller countries have more expressive lounges, they were mostly considered well (OECD) developed countries. However, in Mauritius, I found so far what I think is the best lounge in the world. The point....we just recently upgraded a number of our major city airports to match those of some of the best airports globally and I'm very glad....

I've been lucky to have traveled to some of the world's major airports and visit a number of their travel lounges, as they are generally the first and last places in an airport one may visit before actually boarding an airplane (first and last impressions). Of all these major airports (in Europe, the US, South East Asia, India etc), it seemed the smaller the country, the more impressive the lounges (I guess as those countries depended more on foreign tourists and businessmen than larger ones)...

And based on that info than govt can decide if they need to send any group of people or ministers for further research. This can save lot of money.

Sir we have seen our ministers wasting lot of money on foreign tours in the name of research of anything. Sir my suggestion is as we have so many Indians abroad who are running so many different organisations cant we use them to take information. For example take a group friends of bjp and if India wants to know about the transport system of any foreign country, can't this group organise a research on it voluntarily and pass on information to indian govt.

Respected Modiji. I hope this message reaches you. I have been following in awe at your rapid paced work towards improving India. All of India depends on you at this time and it was of great concern to me when I saw your picture out in the open at the Run For Unity event. In this day and age it is a scary prospect to go out in this manner and if anything happens to you India will fall in long term depression. I hope my fears are baseless sir. hope you keep working for India for a very long time.

Country like philipines get 12% of their GDP from work force abroad, we earn only 3%, we have lot of people who wants to move abroad. I believe rural well qualified young Indian, if supported to get job abroad can help us reduce unemployment, reduce our fiscal deficit through their remittances and quick growth of rural areas due to remittances to family which is used for sibblings education, parents better health, buying good houses for family member etc

When I came to gulf i was surprised by pay scale difference and we support well qualified people to get job here in our own way through our small group. I honestly believe easiest way to change life is to support people to take job abroad, remittances of which support family of our skilled work force, its reduces burden on our government to generate additional resources for them in short run and much more. why cant government create information cells for opportunities abroad

Dear PM, I am basically from Porbandar, Gandhiji's Birth Place, I studied in mumbai and I work in dubai, I was continuously wondering how we can help changing life to masses, my father runs school in porbandar for underprivileged children at the age of 74 where they provide food uniform clothes and above all character building education for free. I always believed education can change lives and have supported to reduce financial burden for education for people who want to get educated.

Dear Mr. PM, NRIs are contributing for india's growth even with their small salary but from the Govt. we were not getting any support. Both the indian embassy services and Air India services become useless for 99% NRIs. Please consider improving the management side of both; at least both of them can serve us to bring the dead bodies to homeland.

PM Modiji, I have a kind request to review Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) scheme in Mumbai city. Many people think it needs reforms and enhancement to remove lot of problems and pain. For example, post SRA project of a slum when slum is converted to flat in building by builder, that flat ownership cannot be changed for next 10 years. Within 10 years, if flat is sold to new owner that new owner cannot change old owner name within 10 years. He can change old owner name after 10 years.
