With the FDI in insurance I think onus should be put on all private and public sector banks by forming regulatory authority which will ensure that all the deposits of the people in public or private sector banks are insured with that regulatory body in the event of failure of bank to return the deposits .Mminimum deposits insured to the people should be 15 lacs to 25 lacs compared to 1 lac which today makes no sense .Banks should ensure these minimum deposits with the regulatory body .

Make to system where can show how much gov't is given money and where is embassy is spend. All cultures activists not must win NRI also embassy have to joint living people of that countery. In my country embassy is organizing culture program only for Indian, making photo for gov't office and putting money on own pocket. There are not thinking how popularized our capture to native peoples.

The Indian Embassy in Jakarta is very proactive and is rendering very valuable services to the local Indians and NRIs based in Indonesia. Embassy has also formed Indian Business Forum and Indian Cultural Forum to bring the participation of the Indian community in the business/commercial and cultural activities of the Embassy. It has been organizing various cultural events where Indonesian people are also invited. These events like Festival of India have been very successful.

foreign people are very amused to see Indian culture(food, clothes, festivals, art). I live in Taiwan. I cook Indian food for my Taiwanese friend ,sometimes bring Indian handicrafts. i wish we have little India in every country where we can show our culture, textiles, handicrafts and food .

Hi I would like to share that the preamble of our constitution uses the word secular , I feel it very strange that for a renewal of Indian passport there is a column to mention your religion ? Why is there a need to mention religion when the purpose is to renew a passport ? The column serves no purpose apart from collecting religion based data and it should be done away with. The state should not be interested in the religion of its citizen , the focus should be on development of its citizen.

Dear Sir , It is a little difficult for NRI Indians in US to open accounts in Indian banks in cities where there are no Indian bank branches . Is there way or is it possible to make the application online or collaborate with certain american banks to open accounts in Indian banks ?

My Sister In Law has put a good exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC showing how Indians have affected the US. A moving form of that exhibition is visible in some of the embassies in India too.

It's an honor to have you as our leader. As you're aware, there are some colleges in India, which churn out doctors for money. And so, tell me please, how are they better than the foreign medical graduates from Russia and China etc? Please, just check out this petition about uniform exit exam for all medical graduates in India: https://www.change.org/p/health-minister-of-india-people-for-better-medi-care-india-support-uniform-exit-exam-for-medical-graduates?lang=en-IN Thank you in anticipation.

First of all thanks for inviting us to discussion forum. I want to bring your attention towards very bad customer services around your consulates and embassy here in United States. I feel many of us don't feel going to consulate due to poor customer service. Problem start from highest to lowest staffs at the consulate. They have " I don't care attitude". Please try to hold the ambassador responsible for their respective jurisdictions. Jai hind.

Suggestion on black money -Can India provide some solution like "Agreement Between Swiss Govt (or other countries offering undisclosed offshore account like UAE) that on providing evidence there is no need to transfer black money back to india by Swiss Govt, they would deduct income tax from those account and deposit in the account opened by Indian govt. Indian Govt will not withdraw money collected as tax but will use them as security deposit/earnest money while entering into major agreements.
