Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Continue to my previous post: All the farmers along with Panchayat buy latest agriculture equipment's for the village which every farmer can utilize. Our government can also contribute in the funding of these machineries. This will enhance the productivity per hectare of land.

Modiji, To be fair to farmers either accept Consent Term clause in the land bill or give 10% share to them in the land that will be acquired on both side of corridor so that they have a share in the development of country.

One solution to the Land Acquisition Bill impasse may be not to acquire the land and take the same on a long lease instead (33 years). A lease is a contract between two parties and there is, thus, no question of acquiring consent of 80% of the farmers – the ground on which the bill is being opposed by the political opposition. A lease shall give the farmers annual lease rent in place of a lump sum compensation, as in case of acquisition. The debate ought to be with the farmers directly.

Respected Sir, Make government policy to promote and support sustainable organic agriculture. All water sources including under-ground water must be a national property instead of private property. Use of water resource must be legitimate by setting proper charges even to farmers. This will prevent misuse of water and will be in tune of social justice.

Dear Modi Sir, Every year our farmers are facing the challenges due to change in weather cycle. This is very bad for our economic growth. I have 2 Suggestions: 1. Our farmer should change the cycle of sowing the crops so that the reaping time can move ahead. 2. Farmers using conventional method for sowing & reaping crops. It is due to lack of technology access by farmers. Create a centralized inventory with Panchayats where the entire village can benefit of New agriculture equipment's.
