Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

AMIE course has been recognised by lot of overseas countries like UK NARIC , as equivalent to Bachelors Honours Degree, also some countries like Bahrain have recognised AMIE, still lot of AMIE Qualified Engineers are facing problems when the apply for PG Courses outside of India and UK and for jobs in countries like Kuwait, Qatar, UAE etc. So we request Govt of India to ask the Universities in India to provide credit Transfer based on AMIE Qualification Certificate and Give Bachelors Degree

1.M.Sc in physics ,chemistry etc are not availabe under ODL programm. Every university should linked with this facilities so that we can study these subjects also. 2.For professional improvment & promotion, an employee goes to these universities but still we have not a definite leave system for such employee. Only 15 days educational leaves are available. It should be increased. 3.I work in a govt primary school & I want to do B.Sc & M.Sc through IGNOU but govt did not grant me leave

Courses like AMIE in the non formal stream has led to the career development of lakhs of diploma engineers who are working in critical areas of national building like railways, utility companies, construction of bridges, dams etc, they cannot leave their job and join full time B.Tech, so courses like AMIE need to be encouraged.MHRD stopped the recognition in 2013 and this issue is in court. My request to PM is to recognize these technical distance education courses for empowering the engineers.

Open learning via online study and tests or distant mode should be regularized and regulated only through Government Agencies to maintain authenticity and quality. Moreover it should have the same validity as regular studies.

It is not possible for the Government to give education for all interested citizens in the regular stream ,hence ODL and Distance learning need to be encouraged. Courses like AMIE in the non formal stream has led to the career development of lakhs of diploma engineers who are working in critical areas of national building like railways, utility companies, construction of bridges, dams etc, they cannot leave their job and join full time B.Tech, so courses like AMIE need to be encouraged

The syllabus and evaluation for all ODL courses should be strict and at par with the regular courses like IGNOU courses, otherwise approval should not be provided for the ODL courses ,once the courses are approved and students pass the exams and obtain their degree/diploma there should not be any discrimination ,government should bring a law prohibiting discrimination against diplomas/degree obtained in open and Distance learning method for all types of jobs including government and PSU jobs.
