Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

Creating websites is a child's play with the user friendly tools and liberal hosting policies. It is surprising that there is no bureau that rates these sites like the central board for films. Sites should receive a rating from a bureau (such as A etc), which can help parents monitor the activities of their children, protect them from accessing unwanted sites, and keep them safe from cyber crime. Without such ratings on Indian websites, the youth is very vulnerable to cyber and moral crimes.

SIR ON THE GROUNDS OF MERIT SOME PEOPLE ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE QUOTA ON THE BASIS OF CASTE. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE QUOTA ON THE BASIS OF MONEY, IN A LARGE NUMBER OF PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS BE SCHOOLS OR UNIVERSITIES, WHICH IS INCREASING DAY-BY-DAY? EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES ARE GOVERNED BY DIFFERENT SOCIAL STRUCTURES. CASTE IS ONE OF THEM. PEOPLE BELONGING TO DIFFERENT CASTES, ACCUMULATED CAPITALS (SOCIAL, CULTURAL, AND ECONOMIC) AT DIFFERENT AMOUNT AND RATE. ARE THE PEOPLE READY TO SHARE CAPITALS?

THERE ARE NUMBER OF CONTRADICTIONS IN NPE- 1986. THESE CONTRADICTIONS GIVE TOTAL SPACE TO THE GOVT. TO WITHDRAW ITS RESPONSIBILITY FROM STRENGTHENING GOVT. SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY SYSTEM. ITS EMPOWERS GOVT. TO PRIVATIZE EDUCATION. IT LEAVES THE MARGINALIZED SECTIONS OF INDIA IN THE HANDS OF UNTRAINED, UNDER-QUALIFIED, AND UNDER-PAID TEACHERS WITHOUT MINIMUM FACILITIES. THIS MAY BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION AT THE TIME OF NEW POLICY INITIATIVES.

My father use to tell when he was studying, they use to have "Citizenship classes". They teach :- social responsibility, responsible citizenship,Citizen’s Charter, Rules, Traffic rules & behaviour, Culture importance, knowledge of medical help, repsect, honours, Cleanliness and tidyness, Exercises and yoga etc... I felt this is one of biggest weak links which is really degrading our country. All these are very importance for a growing child. This all should be etched in to their hearts.

AND OUR COUNTRY WILL BE MORE GLORIOUS IN SCIENTISTS, RESEARCHERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHERS ETC. EDUCATIONS FOR ALL .... YES OF COARSE IT IS BUT DON'T MAKE IT IN BASIS OF CASTEISM.

6 % of GDP on education means 6 % of all goods and services produces in the country should ne education service. GDP= C+I+G+NX. Is it possible to increase national spending on education to 6% of GDP by increasing public spending alone? Why capital market fund, private equity and foreign fund should not be invested in education sector? What is the harm if an Indian student study at foreign university in India instead of spending foreign exchange to study at foreign university outside india?

we are paying education cess and taxes for poor's education. Would you like to spend your money as tuition fee for poor students in quality private school or as salary to departmental undertaking government school teachers? Why equity capital is not allowed in education sector? How the organization model of India's government school differ from the organization model of western public schools? Why seven northeastern states do not have single private sector medical college?

I would like to start discussion with few questions. 1) Why are all erstwhile zamindari areas and present day tribal areas educationally backward? 2) India have same national education policy throughout India, why there are difference in educational disparity across the country 3) why is departmental undertaking government schools poor quality? can public corporation school give better result? Is running a school charity activity or economic activity? Quality improves competition, and innovation
