My Hopes for the AI Impact Summit 2026 – From a Student in Jammu
As a college student living here in Jammu, I've been thinking a lot about this big AI Impact Summit coming up in 2026. It's truly exciting that India is hosting such an important event, and I feel like it's a huge chance for us to make sure AI truly benefits everyone, not just the big cities.
My biggest wish is for the Summit to really focus on making AI education and opportunities accessible to all of us. Right now, it often feels like AI is something only for those in the major tech hubs. But imagine if every college, even in places like ours, had proper AI labs and mentors. It would be amazing if the government could support free or affordable AI courses, especially for students who might not have many resources. It's not just about learning code; it's about understanding how AI can be used ethically and for good, and getting hands-on experience that actually prepares us for future jobs.

India has the scale, the talent, and the moral responsibility to shape AI’s next chapter, not just as a user or regulator, but as a value architect. The AI Impact Summit 2026 should not merely be a showcase, but a blueprint for responsible transformation, built with all and for all (Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas).

AI is tomorrow’s future in all sectors of our Indian economy. Like any other technology, it can be used for accelerating Viksit Bharat. AI has its drawbacks and vulnerability to misuse and harming the society. The remedy is to enact laws to prevent misuse of this powerful technology.

Operation SINDOOR
On 22 April, Pakistan based terrorist group “The Resistance Front” (TRF) perpetrated a devastating attack in Pahalgam, India. In this attack 26 innocent tourists were killed in cold blood after segregating them based on their religion. TRF is an offshoot of the well known Pakistan backed terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba. Post the attack, TRF claimed the responsibility for this attack not once but twice within a few hours. Pakistan’s subsequent refusal to acknowledge or curb these terrorist networks compelled India to take a responsible but resolute action. In response, on the night of 7–8 May 2025, the Government of India executed “Operation Sindoor,”. The response was non escalatory, precise and targeted terrorist training camps at nine different locations within Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. No military targets were engaged. However, in the early hours of 8 May, Pakistan, in an escalated response launched coordinated drone and missile strike
