There is a need to put in place a School Quality Assessment and Accreditation System to cover all aspects of school functioning, including scholastic and co-scholastic domains, physical infrastructure, faculty management, school leadership, learning outcomes and satisfaction of pupils and their parents/ guardians. Better governance structures in schools striking a balance between mandating and persuading, training of district and block-level education officers as well as head teachers for better management practices, on using data to better monitor and support school performance, and to mobilise community resources and efforts to improve school performance. What are the current experiences and how can they be bettered to achieve tangible results.

School assessment systems should have a separate team of educators who conduct unbiased and objective evaluations of school facilities. It should involve physical verifications and standardized criteria. Quality standards should be evident from the committee's ranking. The Government should set up an accreditation body, which applies the same criteria across India. Incentives and subsidies should be given to high ranking schools! Reduce interference by Govt authorities for them.

* स्थानिक शाळा योग्य पद्धतीने कार्यान्वित होण्यासाठी शालेय व्यवस्थापन समिती क्रियाशील आहे. समितीच्या दरमहा बैठका घेतल्या जातात. बैठकीत शैक्षणिक अडी-अडचणीवर चर्चा केली जाते. * शालेय तपासणी कठोर पद्धतीचे पुनरुज्जीवन होणे गरजेचे आहे. शालेय तपासणी हि वेगळ्या त्रयस्त यंत्रानेमार्फत घ्यायला हवी. कारण शैक्षणिकयंत्रणा आणि शिक्षक यांचे चांगले सबंध असतात त्यामुळे तपासणी वस्तुनिष्ठ होत नाही. * शाळा व्यवस्थापन पद्धतीमध्ये जास्तीत जास्त शिक्षण तज्ञाचा समावेश करायला हवा.
