One of the major problems in deplleting standards in Corporation Schools in Mumbai is lack of accountability and assessment.
While RTE Act talks about Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation of every child enrolled, which is shabbily implemented, there should also be a CCE of Teachers, Head Masters, and hierarchy of the Education Department.
In Mumbai, the AMC handles portfolios of Waste Management, Encroachment, Licenses and finally Education and he/she has to be a wizard to do justice..

An area of serious concern is the depleting enrolment in municipal schools in Mumbai despite the increasing budgets for primary education.
There should be a single window in all corporation and Government schools and every school should provide education right from pre-primary to class X atleast, which is not the case presently.
Infact there should be a third party audit of all Government and Corporation Schools and should be certified as RTE Compliant.

Let us not see school as the only gate of education. Education must be exclusive. We dont require schools for education but will to learn or curiosity which is the driving force of all education.

Having 100% teaching position filled and world class infrastructure requires time and a lot of money which is very difficult to provide in a short run.We should focus on true education rather than schooling, we should focus on ways to provide and enhance teaching material rather than teacher because only study that truly counts is self study, MOOCS must be promoted!

The private schools in the metro cities like Gurgaon are charging hefty amount as the fees and there is an annual increase in the fee at the rate of 10% p.a, it is getting difficult for the parents to cope up with this increasing amount of fee. There is no government intervention in the decision making of increase in fee every year. I would like the gov to have a check on this steep rise in the fee structure in such cities.

Rural eduction system . I experienced that rural area and tribal areas schools are running without teacher with ful atendance of teacher and 90% atendance of studend. All is managed by len- den. Teacher managed these from his house and engage him self in other business. Mid day meals are eaten by management. Ha ha ha.
Only one thing control these iregularity is BIO METRIX WITH GPS. Yes .if all teacher with student 's data colect and store .then every thing will o k.with gps.at school .

In the current scenario, where the primary school students are not able to read and write according to their particular standard, is a matter of concern for the future of our country. Hence it is the need of the hour to focus on the schooling system. It can be done by sensitizing our teachers towards the greater responsibility they have towards the society. i believe we have the best teachers in our schools who just need motivation to put their skills to the maximum use and benefit of children.

The govt is spending such hefty amounts on education but the real need is to channelize the funds in proper infrastructure development of existing assets and its maintenance. We will be able to add substantial substantial capacity if people generate confidence on these govt owned schools.

Look at the basic infrastucture of government schools, the conditions are pathetic. This is platform of knowledge is very decisive for a childs career . Why is it that a parent pays a hefty part of his salary in school fees to a private organisation when the government says that primary education with a meal is free, Because the quality of infrastructure and teaching plaform that should be offered is virtually non existent. The govt should focus on education infrastructure first.

NCERT has laid down its beautiful suggestions in all books under Forward/Preface section but sadly very few teachers or student read that. NCERT could include same suggestions in form of questions inside the book examples, exercise and text which every teacher and student could grasp from.
