Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

sorry 2write here my mn ki bat ऐ 1 देश है वहां समाज होता है तो उस समाज में लोगों का रहन-सहन के कुछ नियम होते हैं &u have 2follow it तो मुझे लगता है with help of technology besic rules strictly must follow fundamental right but not on in phrase of society social cause/issue from any category people must follow besic social rules eg-in dimise of lataji how cn shahrukh follow his own belief publicly on legend bosy &there was on flag & more how cn such medical situation corona by removing mask personal beliefs cn be above society public at large in such a all types of religion not above country so nmaj at masque apply 2all or none -same equal rule how cn hijab personal beliefs on social matter on education simple law hai definition is that(religion) fundamental right at cost of personal life not on social cause how cn highcourt give judgement judges must train by wide sense mindset of judge how cn cn be personal but not at cost of social

The main problem in our country is ineffective law enforcement. There are laws which are good on paper but situation on ground is entirely different. There are very strict rules. But the strictness in rules gives way to corruption instead of making people to follow the rules. The laws are to be implemented by authorities. Though, it would be wrong to say that all are bad but mostly it is true. More is the rate of penalty, more is the rate for settlement. So, environmental laws are no exception. Unless people have some sense of self responsibility, situation would not improve. There are laws regarding environmental protection, hazardous waste, batteries, plastic and e-waste etc. But we can see the ground realities that all rivers are polluted, ground water is polluted, height of waste dumping sites increasing, plastic waste is found everywhere and e-waste is a talking point only. Who will look that circle of the circular economy is fully moved through 360 degrees?

first we have to produce long standing electrical and electronic items. Recycle ewaste if not in full atleast in parts. Have more ewaste recycle bins throughout india. these ewaste can be researched, studied to help indian manufactures to produce better electronic items.

Generally we see how the our Dailly waste as been collected segregated and reused. This scheme of corporation and municipality have reduced the 1000s of Tonnes of waste collected Dailly. The same way we need to have collection centre at all panchyat offices segregated and sold to industries of plastic, wires, glass, circuit boards etc. This can help fund generation for local bodies. Even ask the local workers of corporation to collect and handover to their offices. First local bodies advt this scheme so that people are aware where to hand over their old unused electronic items. in fact I have seen this is lucrative business of scrap dealers who collect all this pay considerable amount people handing over the same. They segregate itemwise pack and sell to concern industries. so need to derive at plan of action

E-waste is Electronical waste which are like CD computer accessories, light and bulbs, transistors, motor, fan, air cooler CPU and other electrical waste .we should collect this from each and every house need to segregate this waste separately ,which will helps in protection of our nature, this wastes are recycled and use for New products. E waste are eco friendly in nature. ,this uses in manufacturing eco products. Which is not harmful to environment. Regards Naveen Kumar k
