Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

Electronic items should be need based rather than fashion based and should be bought when needed rather than style statement

Here,I Have Expressed my ideas on e-waste and its maintenance. E-waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices.E-waste contains a laundary list of chemicals that are harmful to people and the environment e.g. lead, mercury, beryllium etc. The following are the ways to the maintenance of e-waste.. 1. Setting up of industries which use e-waste as raw material and produce new one. 2. Make awareness to the public. 3. Buy environmentally friendly electronics. 4. Sell old electronics. 5. Buy energy star rated electronics. 6. segregation of parts and materials that is then used to build new electronic products. 7. Follow the rules of 5'S. 8.Maintain your electronics. So, I request to all the people and the government to take some steps to minimise the problems produced by E-waste.. Thanks...........

Initiate creative campaign. Government should start a campaign for school/college students. Focus on how students can design and develop creative instruments/things from waste products. Ex. 1) Heavy metal/plastic waste can be used as paper weight. 2)Wires, faulty phone chargers, headphones can be used to tie bags. Let students use their creativity on this topic.

Electronic item ko jitna ho sake utna use Karo or kharab hone ke baad e vest ko fek mat do e vest Ko fek ne se jyada khatra ho sak ta he So plz aap jitna jyada use kar sakte ho utana Kate Jai hind ......
