Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

Students in villages can not afford smartphone, laptop or tabs for their education. Private companies or rich people can donate their used smartphone/laptop/tabs to poor children ... don't throw it. Donate it.

Hello everyone, managing E-waste is a big problem today. What we can do is to 1) seperate the type of materials e.g steel, aluminium, copper etc. 2) to melt it and can be reuse. But collection of these materials is a big task to perform it citizens cooperation is must as well as we can form a committee for each area and the head will submit that materials to head office regularly.

हम इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वेस्ट से बहुत ही काम की चीजें बना सकते हैं जिससे इनवर्टर , टॉर्च , बना सकते हैं जो लोगों के बहुत काम आएगा और बचा हुआ इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कचरा को हम अलग-अलग करके रीसायकल कर सकते हैं

विद्यालय स्तर पर e-waste से संबंधित कार्यक्रम लाए । बच्चो को extra curricular activities के रूप में e-waste के मुद्दे पर काम करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करे।

Be a good consumer. ... Reuse as often as possible. ... Educate yourself on what gets put into your electronics. ... Look for an environmentally friendly label. ... Consider limiting the number of electronics you own. ... Teach kids about e-waste. ... Recycle, recycle, recycle. ... Understand security issues.

इलेक्ट्रॉनिक गैजेट बहुत खतरनाक होते हैं उसमें अपशिष्ट पदार्थ होते हैं किसको इधर-उधर फेंकने से बहुत खतरा है इसलिए उस सीधा उधर ना फेंके कबाड़ी की दुकान पर जाकर उसे बीच दें जिससे उसका नया निर्माण हो सके

Use 3r's everywhere At every streets. Seperate the wastes by different division of dustbins like Wet dustbins and biodegradable dustbins and non biodegradable dustbins Tins and metals dustbins, etc. Use plastic decomposers everywhere. Also use vermicomposters in every streets. Don't even leave a place like villages or undeveloped areas too. Ask all the municipalities to Clean the areas dustbins regularly. Most of the cleaners are not doing their works properly.Almost every government municipalities work only for the persons who give money. Corruption in cleaning too. Higher officials must take action for this. Thankyou!!

Sir, I take the term e-Waste in different manner. The e-information, e-knowledge and e-literature are easily available in open e-market which leads the young minds in wrong path. Many fake fake e-information which the young mind takes very seriously and falling themselves in darkness. Many Online apps and games are there which are having statutory warnings but getting advertised widely by so-called youth icons. Gambling is open for all on the name of Ghar Baithe Kamao, Teen Patti, Rami, MPL and other sites. Its ruining the young minds by fake adds. There is no rule regulations on advertisement on social media. Govt always seems to be helpless in front of big brands. If Govt is serious about e-wastage clean these matters which are wastage on their origin itself.
