Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

E-Waste Solutions The good news is that there are efficient and successful ways to solve the growing environmental problems that e-waste poses.  And one of the most proven solutions is through recycling.

The Cycle Of Old Electronics The problem, of course, is one we all recognize: technology. As technology becomes more advanced, the life span of our devices just keeps getting shorter. the best way for circular economy in eee products waste is to focus on the recycling of these products. the material used in the making of these products should be reusable. production company should use recyclable material in the manufacturing of their eee products. A strong buy back policy must be enforced.

Most of the electronic products be comes waste due to unavailability of technitions.For example HP company plotters become waste at least 5 to 6 years earlier because these company hide the service manual. Therefore first of all government should impose hefty fine on those company who doesn't release service manual after products warranty period ends.We Indian love our purchased products & keep for long time with us till all hope are vanished for repair.Products goes to waste cycle unrepaied.
