The strings of India's development have been inseparably attached to the success of its Textiles sector. The industry's symbiotic relationship with agriculture widens the range of beneficiaries.

•4.5 crore people are directly employed while another 6 crores are indirectly in this sector with a considerable stake of women and rural population.

•5% of the global trade in textiles and apparel is to India's credit.

•India's centuries-old knowledge and expertise in this sector have positioned it as the world's 2nd largest manufacturer and exporter with a 12% share in total exports (2018-19).

And now we, at the Textiles Ministry have our sights set on achieving global leader status for India. Government under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has been pushing for innovation and incentives to realise the mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by bolstering exports, quality & productivity, competitiveness, technology up-gradation, research & development, and training & skill development in this industry.

Now, we are keen to listen to the suggestions of Industry experts, innovators, students, business leaders, and all other contributors to this sector to expedite our mission. As we mark the 75th year of India's Independence, we want you to have an increased stake in the success of the Textiles industry.

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 15th August 2021.

Third, Govt has to fix the price of the material or dress or everything below than the foreigner brands. It should completely done by govt authenticity and in a very professional way as govt is doing with vaccination. Govt has to force the central employees to wear only Indian textiles. As, The company has some dress codes of formal dress. Central govt should apply the rule of wearing khadi only.

Second, Govt has to mentor them so that they start work professionally for India. Start giving jobs to women or men who are interested in textiles , tailoring & designing but with proper interview and also in very professional way. As big brands do. Making India a robust Textile hub with Moto Khadi, Govt. must encourage rural house wives that she has talent but can't open it to public. eg. Reuse waste clothes and textile making household items ....Think again

Gain departmental knowledge and arrange to go to the next level in work positions. It is not good if the person who came as a worker goes out as a worker. It is very difficult to learn by someone who understands the task. So we have to make way for learning lessons in mother tongues. When education and experience join, they will move on to the next level of work. Workers will become entrepreneurs. As more entrepreneurs emerge, competition in the market will increase.

First make education accessible to all. Open universities also have courses at very high fees. If we want to be at the forefront of the world in this field, we have to make the textile sector education available to those in the textile industry at very low rates. BPA, BA, BSc, Diploma, Certificate courses are required in all universities. Arrange to study in regular, distance mode. The first place can be reached by the most talented.
