Ahead of International Day of Yoga 2022, the United Nations reflected, “People around the world embraced yoga to stay healthy and rejuvenated and to fight social isolation and depression during the pandemic. Yoga is also playing a significant role in the psycho-social care and rehabilitation of Covid-19 patients in quarantine and isolation. It is particularly helpful in allaying their fears and anxiety.” stated, “The essence of yoga is balance - not just balance within the body or that between the mind and the body, but also balance in the human relationship with the world. Yoga emphasises the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline and perseverance. When applied to communities and societies, Yoga offers a path for sustainable living.”

To encourage people to take to yoga, making people aware of its benefits is the only way out. There is a need to organise various public workshops so that people are drawn towards it. Moreover, one can also initiate campaigns of yoga in the morning or evening in their surroundings or in villages. It is well said that charity begins at home. So, encourage more individuals to adopt yoga. The government can also take some steps such as making yoga compulsory in schools and educational institutes to promote it. A day should be fixed under physical education period and children must be explained about its benefits.

Yoga Day is celebrated not only in India but all over the world on the 21st of June. Globally, India is considered the country of yoga. Yoga originated in the country of India itself. Seeing the usefulness of yoga, at the suggestion of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Yoga Day started being celebrated all over the world. Modi Ji had proposed Yoga Day in the General Assembly of the United Nations, after which the resolution was passed and the United Nations declared it to be celebrated globally. Yoga has been adopted by all countries, and citizens of other countries are also able to take advantage of it. Yoga is important not for any particular person but for the entire human race. Its regular practice increases the immunity of the body to fight against epidemics and other diseases. We should start its practice today itself and should also promote it among the people. If one of our suggestions starts yoga and cures his health, then it will be a matter of pride for us.

I suggest it should be started in low level then build it up to the higher level. Let's start with the schools making it mandatory there. Like a period solely dedicated to yoga. Teaching them the benefits of the yoga there. This should be done

At a fundamental level, yoga improves our lives through holistic, integrative and sustainable practices. These include proper diet as is conducive to our wellbeing, proper practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation to enhance the quality of our lives and proper relaxation and recuperation to balance our body and mind. yoga should be included as a subject in educational institutions, awareness campaign should be organised by the institutions.

Yoga can be made more popular among the Indian masses by making them aware of the importance of Yoga in everyday hectic life through social media, awareness programs, campaigns in schools, colleges. Yoga should be made mandatory in every educational institutions. People are more acquainted with gym, and therefore more and more yoga centres should be built across the nation. In rural areas, campaigns and gram panchayat can play an important role to spread yoga. More and more yoga competitions, workshops regarding it should be placed.
