Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, owing to its demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, this day has been observed worldwide in ever-growing numbers, to remind people across the globe about the benefits of Yoga, and to build enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to public health.

The preparations for the 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2022) have already begun and the Ministry of Ayush (MoA) is looking forward to active participation from the people. As the world faced a tough time due to the pandemic of Covid-19, wherein, Yoga has emerged as the saviour for many.

Yoga is healing our minds, bodies and spirits while giving back to society. It's a way of life by following the approach to wellness, social, and environmental well-being for global development. Yoga unfolds the infinite potentials of the human mind and body and set the guidelines for how to lead a sustainable lifestyle in the modern age by creating a positive impact on the planet inevitably leading humans to make more mindful choices.

With this backdrop, the Ministry of Ayush invites all citizens to share their ideas on how “Yoga for Humanity” may be persuaded further.

Every day 1hour yoga in morning and evening makes body healthy and boost your strength. Their is no need of doctor in our life. Yoga keeps us away from the all types of diseases .Yoga is healing our minds, bodies and spirits while giving back to society. It's a way of life by following the approach to wellness, social, and environmental well-being for global development. Yoga unfolds the infinite potentials of the human mind and body and set the guidelines for how to lead a sustainable lifestyle in the modern age by creating a positive impact on the planet inevitably leading humans to make more mindful choices. Yoga for humanity means yoga is God's gift for humanity to increase their immunity, physical health, mental health, strength 💪, ability and to reduce our weekness like angry, sadness, depression etc and to get relief(free) from strain, stress. To get control on our emotions like anxiety, angry, sad... etc. I suggest everyone to do yoga 🧘‍♀️

Every government institutions must take initiative to spread awareness regarding the benifits of yoga and it's importance in modifying our mental and physical health as well as it's gradual changes that brings discipline to our life to the nearby localities and villages. The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India.

Yoga center in each district is badly needed.. Govt yoga centers will make easier for people to get more inclined towards Yoga instead of paying hell of money to gyms

Broadcasting animated series on yoga for all age groups from beginners to advanced level. The channel should be available in all regional languages and good illustration should be depicted which interests kids as well as adults.

Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter your flame.” 30 minutes yoga practice should be made compulsory in school so that our young generation could realize the importance of yoga and a beautiful wealth that India has given to the world
