#yoga tv channel kindly start a dedicated yoga TV channel under doordarsan/private/private public partnership....where simplified way of doing yoga for all classes of population can be aired on a 24 hour basis.Initially concentrate on aged...say above 55/60... specially women...who do house work and get tired...resulting in poor quality of life.same thing applies to aged parents/ inlaws in the house ,who hate to depend on their children for their day to day activities.mist of the time ,they keep watching TV serials for time pass.if they have access to this type of facility, they can improve their muscle strength, thus reducing falls, better body support and gait, improved quality of life ,thus reducing intake of pain killers ,and also reduce dependence on others, teaching pranayama helps in better maintenance of lungs I,including better way of clearing secretions in the chest and thus, reduced hospitalisations and improved quality of life. Also meditation for peace of mind. contd 2

We should request the owners of Gymnasium to promote Yoga. I have a friend in Siliguri West Bengal who promotes Yoga in his Gym. Along with bodybuilding exercises he also teaches Yoga there. The Government should promote such individuals and centers. Also the GOI should include Yoga in School Curriculum and from time to time create events in these schools for Yoga.
