In an apparent reference to the deaths on account of the demonetisation move, Modi said sometimes “disturbing incidents” have come to light. The PM had announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes would cease to be legal tender on November 8 with some exemptions. The move was aimed at ending corruption, counterfeiting and terror financing.

Dear sir, while the salaried class comply with the tax provisions, they also face issues while making certain valid claims. For example, for claiming HRA deduction, they are required to obtain the PAN of the landlord and share with the employer. Without the PAN, the employer cannot give the necessary deduction because the quarterly return has a field that should be filled. Kindly ensure the tax payer does not suffer because the landlord does not share the PAN. Kindly help. Thanks sir.
