GMS provides the customer the option to refuse the deposit of gold after it is melt. It may have complications like give my jewelry in original form with stud/meena. Why should I pay the melting charges.
Customer cannot refuse to deposit the gold once the gold is melted or stud/meena is removed. he can deny only after XRF. test.

There should not be mismatch in gold deposit and usage of gold.
Deposit/redemption by customer-In Gold whereas
Loan and sale of gold by bank in cash
How the fluctuation in the prices of gold be protected and who will bear the gains /losses.

The custodian of the Gold should be an independent body like NSDL/CDSL under a regulatory body say RBI. There should not be private refiners having conflict of interest.

GMS to clarify that the exemption from I.tax are subject to what type of verifications. later on IT Official should not jump to tax the GMS on some pretext.

The tenure of the GMS should be auto renewal unless customer decide to redeem. There should not be hassle to customer every year for its renewal.

Redemption should always be in Gold or equivalent to gold at the time of redemption. There is not relevance of Cash here.

The Interest rate should not be free to bank to decide.
It should be based on some reference to RBI rates.

Regarding gold monetization scheme,
Gold ornaments shows generation respect and attachment of our people. gold denotes is ISTRIDHAN in our indian culture. In punjab mostly every mother has secure their gold jewellry for their daughter in law. they pleased to give that old ornaments to her newly wedded dauther in law on his marriage occation. this cycle is being carry on by so many generation. So melting of gold should be viewed carefully in upcomming scheme.but for our economy view is good
