The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Respcted sir,As I am from railways, regarding ticketless travelling I will suggest to compare with State Transport as there is no ticket less travelling.we should find out the reason behind non-ticketless travelling in state and public sector transport.Railway is such a transport who carries without ticket in the form of religious or political rallies. It shpuld be stopped with immediate effect keeping in view the welfare of railway as well as our country.

Further, I&B Ministry / Health Min., to appoint Celebrities like Rajni Kanth, Bachchan, Dhoni etc to be Brand Ambassadors ( as a social service, that is, not for fee) for the Camapaign against smoking and drinking among the poor. ITC, Beedi Co.s etc should be asked to show TV commercials for 30 / 40 sec against smoking, featuring the brand ambassadors' message. In the USA, the y have this practice of asking cigarette co to issue anti smoking materials as social service. Why not in India?

No country can progress without providing proper healthcare to its citizen. In urban areas especially in Gujarat traffic nuisance is creating lot of noise pollution because of which children are not able to concentrate on their studies. None of the traffic signals are working and people blow only horn to move. Noise pollution is increasing day by day and if not controlled we will be creating more patients every year. Students will not perform in Math subject because it requires concentration.

Skill development exercise in mining sector should be undertaken by the Govt. only in its initial stage after greater success it can be diverted to private sec.
