There are two aspects of skill development --- primary and secondary. By Primary is the one which one acquires after formal technical education from ITI, Polytechnic or Engineering College. While there is a need to improve the quality of the formal education, there is a big need to improve the employabilty of a "skilled" person.This requires a kind of bridge to be created for student of above mentioned institutions. We need artisan skill development programs to meet agriculture and rural needs so the people in the grass root level will be knowing the basic measures of energy efficiency, energy conservation and common minimum servicing requirement of agricultural field equipment, creating strength in capacity build up. We may use village schools transforming them in Training Center by Block level Skill development technical officer.
