Allahabad city has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development as one among the potential 98 smart cities under the Smart City Mission. At present, Allahabad Nagar Nigam is in the process of revising the Smart city proposal for second round participation. In this regard, Citizens of Allahabad are requested to participate actively in all Citizen Engagement process and enable our city to successfully accomplish the vision of the Smart City Mission.

In Round-1; Citizens of Allahabad chose Retrofitting option for 1160 acres as Area Based Development which includes areas such as Residential colonies of Mumfordganj, Commercial area of Katra, portion of Allahabad University and rejuvenation of Chandrashekar Azad Park and Hathi Park.

Allahabad Nagar Nigam requests all its citizens to participate in the Review process; wherein they can share their suggestions to help ANN to reformulate and strengthen the Smart City Proposal for the Round-2 challenge.

We request you to post your valuable suggestions on or before 25/05/2016.

under Smart City Proposal (SCP), should be chosen for development in Allahabad which must be reflects as a show case of Allahabad.It should be civil lines area of Allahabad where maximum foot falls every day where we could make a business, revenue generating, self sustainable model of the city which will be replicated for other parts of the city in future. So plz select Civil Lines area as a retrofit area based development to be selected as a smart city Allahabad.

Smart City Allahabad is in the list of world class smart city ranking on top as it shows with the name of Municipal Commissioner, Allahabad.

Allahabad, billed as Uttar Pradesh's first smart city in the greenfield category. The Rs 600 crore project situated on the Allahabad-Kanpur highway would be developed under the private sector and REPL has been roped as its knowledge partner. REPL has been empaneled by the central government, along with some other agencies, as a specialist consultant for developing smart cities across the country.

Tech giant IBM has chosen Allahabad among 16 global locations for its smart cities programme to help them address challenges like waste management, disaster management and citizen services.

Allahabad is a popular city in Uttar Pradesh for its religious place Sangam of three holy rivers and Mahakumbh Mela. Finally, Allahabad has also been shortlisted by the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) in the list of 98 smart cities to develop as a smart city under 100 Smart Cities Mission. [ 158 more words.

Which org.wil provide the Aam Aadmi (Citizen) residing in Allahabad a Fibre Optic based Internet connection on demand,at his/her place of residence/work,just like the traditional land line telephone?
