Allahabad city has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development as one among the potential 98 smart cities under the Smart City Mission. At present, Allahabad Nagar Nigam is in the process of revising the Smart city proposal for second round participation. In this regard, Citizens of Allahabad are requested to participate actively in all Citizen Engagement process and enable our city to successfully accomplish the vision of the Smart City Mission.

In Round-1; Citizens of Allahabad chose Retrofitting option for 1160 acres as Area Based Development which includes areas such as Residential colonies of Mumfordganj, Commercial area of Katra, portion of Allahabad University and rejuvenation of Chandrashekar Azad Park and Hathi Park.

Allahabad Nagar Nigam requests all its citizens to participate in the Review process; wherein they can share their suggestions to help ANN to reformulate and strengthen the Smart City Proposal for the Round-2 challenge.

Allahabad may be a cultural and tourism hub but by governments avoiding it is on backfoot few days ago it was educational centre in UP as Oxford of east but what for system negligence all are going to ruin no industry no any other option Allahabad has now

इलाहाबाद उत्तर प्रदेश के सर्वाधिक नियोजित शहरों में से एक है,इसको बनाए रखने के लिए संसाधनों के मौद्रिकरण के साथ सांस्कृतिक सामर्थ्य को उजागर करने की जरुरत हैं। बुंदेलखंड से लगे सूखाग्रस्त क्षेत्र से लेकर उच्च न्यायालय तक की विविधता मिलती है। इसलिए लोकसंस्कृति से लेकर विश्वप्रचलित संस्कृति के साधक रहते हैं। इस शहर को पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश के पर्यटन के लिए प्लेटफ़ॉर्म के रूप में विकसित किया जाना चाहिए।

Areas to work on :- 1.)Better connectivity across Allahabad via strong public transport and also encourage private transport companies like Uber, TaxiForSure to function in city 2.) Better road,wider roads and more importantly work on road safety.May be install traffic police and signals.Hardly see any apart from CivilLines area 3.)Good connectivity via train/ flights from metropolitan cities such as Pune(being from Punekar it's difficult to choose a mode of transport to travel to hometown)

Have a Citizens" Corner". In the heart of the City there should be center for disseminating information to visitors, regarding the places of import, Different offices, transportation facility etc . The corner should be with all modern facilities including WIFI, and the provisions for taking a short rest with cloak Room facility.

A Shatabdi express to Allahabad will enhance its brand value,and will attract investors, this will also increase the profitability of investment in smart city project.Its hardly 642 km on railway networks and we already have Bhopal Shatabdi which runs 700 kms.
