The city of Davanagere is located at a distance of about 260 km from the state capital of Bangalore. It is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Previously known for its cotton mills, it is a fast developing city of Karnataka. The arid town was once a thriving textile center. This place is also called as 'Manchester of Karnataka' or textile capital of South India.

Davanagere City Municpal Council came into existence on 7th Aug, 1951. Later it is upgraded as Davanagere City Corporation on 6th Jan, 2007. Presently it has jurisdiction over an area of 68.63 Sq. Kms with over 1.5 lakh properties. Davanagere City Corporation is situated at the P B Road, opposite to City Railway Station, Davanagere.

For its governance, the Davanagere City Corporation is divided into 41 wards, each represented by a Corporator. The Corporators elect the Mayor, who is the administrator of the City and serves office for a term of one year. The administration of the Corporation is vested in the Commissioner, who is designated by the State Government.

1 st clear problem new underbidge when rain come that time so water /drainage water mix and people so much suffer from this problem 2nd problem we facing near railway gate near ashoka theter 1st clear this problem 3rd city full with dust when drive Ing vehicle that time somuch suffer from dust allergy and vehicle pollution in

Firstly digitalise all government offices for efficient , transparency and corrupt free service to citizens. Locate the IT companies to cities like Davangere, Shivamogga, Hubli-Dharwad as there are many engineering and management colleges and they can easily continue their job in their home city. No need to leave parents for earning. Proper maintenance of the facilities provided like good quality roads, traffic, waste management, water supply. Water is wasted by citizens carelessly .

Road Repiares, Drainage connection Properly. Parking Systeam is good . 24 hours water & Electricity service. waste materials properly maintenance.

1.Ban the film posters & function posters in public places and add LED screens in bus stops and railway stations. 2.Use solar panels for Traffic signals & street lights. 3. give tender to smart workers, please prevent corruption while calling tenders. 4. divide the work to each ward members and award them if they work hard... 5. give more opportunity to small scale industries. 6. Reuse of waste water and waste products. 7. give more transparent governance.......

Good roads to be provided. Foot path are to be provided along all the roads. Lake should be made clean and recreational facilities to be provided.
