Kota has been selected in the list of 100 Smart Cities announced in August 2015. Currently, Kota Nagar Nigam is in process of preparing the Smart City Proposal, which would form the basis for selecting the First 20 Smart Cities – for implementation from 2016. The Smart City Proposal is your proposal – the voice of Kota. We request each and every citizen of Kota to share his / her suggestions for pan-city developments in Kota.

Pan city initiatives are smart solutions that benefit the entire city by improving one or more elements of city infrastructure, services or governance.

We request the citizens to suggest the top priority pan city solution to be taken up for Kota smart City. An indicative list of broad segments of smart solutions is as follows:

• Smart Utilities
• Smart Buses for Public Transport
• Smart Traffic and Parking Solutions
• E-governance
• Centralized Command & Control Center
• Smart Surveillance and Safety Solutions

Citizens may also suggest any other innovative ideas / solutions which they feel may have a wide-spread impact improving the quality of life of most of the citizens across the city.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 4th December, 2015.

Citizens can also reach us through the official website: www.smartcitykota.com which is a nodal site for Kota for all information on the Smart City Challenge.

Agra the citadel of Mughal heritage deserves to be in the list of first twenty smart cities. Its inclusion will boost the economy of country through its tourism potentials. The city is well known for its leather and handicrafts specially inlay stone works and shoes production along with sweets(pethas) . Its proximity to lord Krishnas birth Mathura place and national capital Delhi and it being adjacent to Rajasthan,MPand Haryana bears the highest potentials to be developed first smart city.

Continued..... Here the role of people, society at large, public institutions , state or union govts and all the judicial machineries' role is called for. My simple suggestion to this giant problem is ---The Organisation of Indian Judicial Service(I. J. S.) the pattern of I A S albeit under the full control of The Supreme Court of India. This should the feeder cadre of high court and thereafter supreme court' judgeship. Thanks !

Continued..... separate judiciary. Any attempt to redfiine it in favour of executive not only vitiates the provision but throttles the spirit of equity and justice ,the main ingredient of sovereignty. Judges human but their job is Devine. So even a probability of any partisan approach in their selection shakes the very foundation of that divinity. Moreover it is also true that the collegium system is not above board since it suffers from nepotism which is but human

Judges appointment issue and the opinion pole launched by the Supreme Court of India is most talked of and requires very concious deliberations. I do agreewith S C judgement against N J A C because the judgement saves the provision of separation of power which is one of Basic Features of the constitution. No doubt we have a parliamentary system of govt which creates a filmsy barrier between the legislature and executive. Ipso facto thereis no separation. Our constitution makes provision for separ
