Namchi has been selected among the 100 shortlisted cities to participate in the Smart City Challenge initiated by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The UD&HD department, Government of Sikkim invites all the citizensand who all are interested in its development to share their ideas. Please join us in this journey to make Namchi a smart city by sharing you creative and valuable suggestions, ideas, solutions on various aspects for the development of Namchi. Public information, grievance redressal, electronic service delivery, citizens’ engagement, waste to energy & fuel, waste to compost, 100% treatment of waste water, smart meters & management, monitoring water quality, renewable source of energy,green building, smart parking, intelligent traffic management system.

First of all the damaged roads should be repaired , before starting any new mission for Namchi. Then, the E-rickshaws (eco friendly) should be started.And compulsory, meter rickshaw should be started.And the dogs,and cows which are coming in the way of road, this should be controlled...

1. Construction of Banquet Hall at Namchi. 2. Zoo at Gavcharan near kolok (ward No 2 Dambudara). 3. Affordable Housing. 4. Govt Engineering College. 5. Robust IT and Power Supply Facilities. 6. Adequate Water Supply with meter system. 7. Construction of Large Concert Hall. 8. Entrepreneurship Development among youth for fighting unemployment issues.

1. All the buildings roof of Namchi Bazar must be installed with solar pannel i.e to furnish GO GREEN ENVIRONMENT IN NAMCHI. 2. All the hoardings surrounding the market must be digital. 3. Toilet must be constructed in Namchi Bazar. 4. Dustbin must be installed within 1/4 radius. 5. Fine must be imposed for spitting and throwing garbage. 6. high resolution camera must be installed for monitoring cleanliness around Namchi. 7. MultiSpeciality hospital must be constructed dismantling old one.

1.District Hospital Namchi should be upgraded to multispeciality Hospital. 2. Parking Facilities for Light and Tourist Vehicles within 1 km around Central Park on every roads. 3. Garage should be located on radius of 5 Km. 4. All meat Shop should be located at same location, not scattered. 5. Sewarage system must be properly managed. 6. Electricity supply , other wiring should be made underground system. 7. Garbage Collection should be done effectively.
