The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

1. Established of technical college like medical, engineering collage 2. Agro/ horti based Industry and factory is to establish. many agro products are surplus in east siang district particularly in pasighat.

A smart idea that have seen from some other city includes many government services, transport facility, traffic management, energy, health care, water and waste. Also includes cybervile, digital city, electronic communities, flexi city, information city, intelligent city, knowledge based city, mesh city , telicity, teletopia, ubiquitous city, and wire city. They have 24 hrs electricity, 24hrs open ATM, no deviancy for gas as they provide after every half or 1 month. Good roads with highway all o

1 Construction of link roads to all the sectors, villages and footpath in common jungle path. 2. proper drainage system in whole of the township. 3. Uninterrupted supply of electricity and water. 4. Good hospital/ medical felicities in all the sub-division/ circle . 5. Upgrading of middle school to secondary, and secondary into higher secondary.

A “smart” idea that have been seen in some other city uses digital technology or information and communication technology to increase the quality and performance of urban service to reduce cost and resource consumption and to engage more effectively and actively with its citizen.

Some ideas of a smart city mission are to look at compact areas and create a replicable model. Also the mission of the smart city is to focus the sustainable and inclusive development.

* there must be traffic police and cctv in all the point at market, all the road. * Same way dustbin is to be kept in all point. * Milk booth also set up in all the location.

Dear, Reader, As for my suggestion the Pasighat should be develop soon into a smart city we can see the present Pasighat needs lots of improvement. As Pasighat is situated in a region where everyone can see the beauty of hills and Siang and it is pollution free too as compared to other region. So, the tourism sector should be looked upon. There will be lose of revenue income from the tourism. In that case, Pasighat earns a lot of income. CONTD IN MY NEXT COMMENT
