The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

It is very important to construct a waiting shed, parking places, dustbin , children park, and above all separate toilets for male and females in different places of pasighat.

Main pillars for development of Pasighat would be Metro Rail and Flyovers all over the city with good 4 to 6 lanes road. This will directly help in easing out the traffic system of Pasighat. As the roads of this city in the world is too congested and are not wide enough to take the load of city's traffic. We should try to speed up the work of metro rail and flyovers on priority basis. Good Transport system is the main pillar of a Smart City.

1) The building of high degree college at low premium during admission and scholarship grant to the poor family belonged. 2)The society should encourage for proper law and verification toward any incidents.

We should introduce the proper drainage and the solid waste could be converted into biogas which will create some source of energy.

There are many things which could be effectively done under Intelligent Government Services. Police - An official face book and Twitter page to keep citizens updated on law and order, crime, accidents and other important information. Marriage Certificate Service to be done online and user should have easy access to take out printout anytime. Cleaning- GPS System in all garbage truck to keep tab on their availability and position. An easy to access mobile app for tourists etc.

a)Health-care services should be provided to poor people 100% free of cost. b)Education for all the children working in others home as a servant etc. c)High-speed 4G connectivity for the entire citizen. d)Public toilet should be provided.

Plantation at all levels indoor as well as outdoor should be encouraged, Musical fountain and formation,Waste products should be segregated as organic and non organic waste Safety of citizens,Local artisans should be encouraged,Problem of vacate plot filled with garbage should be controlled,Foot over bridge at important junctions,Solar road lights Renovation of old water resources,Recycling of waste water,Reuse of kitchen waste and water in garden, Proper water supply and sanitation.

Making special campaign on smart city, spreading knowledge about it, organizing this kind of open discussions is the best answer to a smart city question. Don’t think that Govt. will only be the one that should make a smart city, but our opinion, our choice, our thinking; our unity is the one that matter most. It is 21st century, we can’t live depending on others but instead we should make somebody else depended on us.

Smart city- Smart city is a word that refer to a city which refer to a city which have a lots of facilities including economic development and high quality of life be excelling in multiple key areas-economy, mobility, environment, people living and excelling in these key areas can done so through strong human capital, social capital and infrastructure.
