The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

4. Beautification of river Siang and its bank and its embankment. 5. Patrolling of Raneghat Bridge. 6. Strict law and order to prevent unprecedented incident especially speedy driving. 7. I swear we Pasighat people will make our daily routine under compulsion to follow the “Swatch Bharat Abhiyan” as must daily routine. 8. I want to see Pasighat smart city as one of the best city in world in over all aspects.

Hi dream and discussion for smart city Pasighat 1. Every citizen must follow the “Swatch Bharat Abhiyan” daily under compulsory law and rules. 2. All the civic facilities like All India Institute of Science and Technology (AIIMS) must be the additional compulsion for smart city which will add the perfect medical benefit for smart city Pasighat. 3. Affordable housing for labours and smart city Pasighat citizen.

We the people of Pasighat prayer for immediate approval of smart city to the Govt. India for better road communication, better electricity supply, for sufficient drinking water supply and different type of educational institution and better medical facility. Hence, I pray to the people of East Siang and people of the entire state to cooperate to in and work together in the process of the smart city demand for immediate approval.

The followings may be few suggestive measures for a smart and clean city: 1. Street washing before sweeping; 2. Use Bio-disposers to dispose kitchen / bio-degradable waste directly to sewer network. 3. Areas without sewer network may be provided with Bio-digesters for tackling bio-degradable waste. 4. Manage all type of Solid Waste separately without co-mingling for efficient reuse / recycling. & 5. Prefer to provide decentralised sanitation facilities, community managed & self sustainable.

I would like to draw your attention to urgent need to reform the current municipal system. Under the current system corruption is rampant, and the welfare schemes are abused by corrupt politicians and officials. There is poor planning and even poorer implementation of rules and regulations. I request your good offices to take urgent attention of rampant corruption, official apathy at municipal level to improve the working condition of Indian citizens.

It will help in reducing the crime in the city Coverage of toilets is responsible for the good hygiene recycling waste water and making it drinkable
