The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 10th December, 2015.

Pasighat the first city in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most beautiful city in whole north eastern states.It is a valley city so to say.our most beloved p.m. modiji has visited during his election campaign and people of pasighat has mandate his candidate and his canditate has won the election.For smart city pasighat is the most suitable place by having the mighty siang river,the lofty Himalayan mountain e.t.c.

It is an area where there is plenty and beautiful natural resources which only needs to be touched by the human house. There is the immense scope of harvesting the nature rentable renounces in the form of mater energy for generation electricity, beside that there is the public and civilizes of pasighat who would like to and give their fullest support for developing pasighat as a smart city.

Municipalities should responsible for the following functions to each citizen: • Electricity delivery • Water for household use • Sewage and sanitation • Fire fighting services • Municipal health services • Decisions around land use • Municipal roads • Municipal public transport • Parks and recreational areas

Nobody should spit on d road, vehicles has to be stopped before zebra crossing, Garbage should not be thrown in lakes, Dustbin should be placed before each street.

The central govt need to know that this smart city scheme is the one and only way to develop the centurial old town pasighat. for many years the development has been minimum. the lack of electricity, the lack of awareness ,the lack of discipline in infrastructure like roads ,bridges etc. it is high time the central govt ponder our problems select it on top20 cities.

PASIGHAT should have focus more on cleaning. Should have dustbin at frequent distances. Proper parking facilities. old city should ban the vehicle entry.

Pasighat located on the banks of the Siang river has vast potential for growth as Smart city.It has good connectivity by road & in near future within a year or two by train & air.It is the Rice bowl of Arunachal Pradesh & there is neverending vast stretches of land for agricultural occupation in Maryam & Jampani areas.Pasighat has also a rich history connected with the British regieme which is testified by many War memorials near Pasighat. SMART CITY PASIGHAT,JEWEL OF ARUNACHAL.
