Stop commercialization of residential areas. Zoning laws as in developed countries should be emulated.
Better infrastructure for managing storm water, sewer and garbage.
Privatize loss making government transport corporation and use their land for other constructive purposes.
Protect historic buildings from being demolished as well as road names from being renamed by politicians.

Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance!!! No need of improvising any kind of new things. We have been setting up this city since ages. There is no point in keep on adding new buildings and projects. Keep it simple and digitalise. Keep the government, officials and people at a single place.

each area can be asked to plant saplings and the area which plants more can be rewarded with a cut in water tax bill, electricity bill etc , thus encouraging competition and also getting the desired outcome( greenery).

while laying roads, every area association can be asked to choose a representative and he/she can investigate that the road is being laid properly in that particular area.
Anna planetorium has huge potential in encouraging young kids to explore space sciences. So frequent workshops and better infrastructure must be provided.
