The city corporation would look for initiatives such as awareness programmes and grievance redressal systems. In reality, it is an issue of issues, like poorly-lit streets that give a chance to eve-teasers; poor internet coverage that leads to messages/ alerts not sent on time, among others. Hence, as a Smart City initiative, the City Leader will consider an integrated and holistic approach and not look at it through the prism of one department alone.

One of the most important parts of a Smart City is the public transport system. There is a huge scope of improvement on the existing public transport system.
1) Bus Services
The Buses can be upgraded to display the destination in both English and Tamil. Done using LED or normal boards. Inside the bus, and LED Board shows the next destination. Bus Timetables should be shared on Facebook.
2) Autos
Fares be standardized, meters installed. Residents be made aware of the rates online.

Centre median is very important cor a smart city. But many roads in TRICHY city doesn' have Centre median. For example Thillainagar main road (MS mani road), Annamalai nagar ( 100ft road from Mega star theatre to Taj marriage hall) , salai road ( kannapa hotel to kohinor theatre signal) roads are very important roads in city. But they doesn't have median. Due to this cars and heavy vehicles overtakes and cause accident every day. So all roads in TRICHY city should have center median.

TRICHY city BUSES should have number (route number). For example thillainagar route no. 12, Woriyur 13 , kk nagar route no. Kk 21. All city buses ( including private and government) bus should have uniform colour. Private buses in trichy city should have uniform paint ( colour) and they should be give a proper time to come inside the bus stand.

My Suggestion: In Thuvakudy municipality there are many abandoned quarries which is cause of increasing accidental death particularly children. On the other side Ariyamangalam is being a huge garbage dumb yard which haunts the residents.
Government have to take action to fill the abandoned quarries by using or clearing the Ariyamangalam garbage. (As done in 1998 at Magdalene matric. hr. sec. school, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli there was a quarry near the school now it is being a playground with

Integrated Bus stand is very important for our TRICHY city. The best area to create such a bus stand is KALLIKUDI were a central market is being constructed. If integrated bus stand is created near the kallikudi market it will be very ease to board the bus and to buy things in market at a same time. And the main important thing about kallikudi area is it is situated in the highway so bus stand can be easily connected from any part of the city.

1) Properly managed high tech traffic signals
2) Digital Infrastructure can be improved to include people's participation in governance and feedback. To start with, land and building registration records need to be published online using database on infrastructure
