Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

SIGN BOARDS IN THE CITY (3) All the BUS STOPS should have the Sign Board along with Bus Stop Name Board below the Sign Board.

SIGN BOARDS IN THE CITY (2) All these inquiries happened when I went for morning walk (5 AM) and near Koratheru Bus Stop (Puthur-Woraiyur Road) over the period of one year. This is happening because of NOT having the Sign Boards at Main roads and road Junctions. So, at least under the Smart City Project, many Sign Boards to be installed to go to the nearby Pilgrimage Centers and nearby important Towns / Cities.

SIGN BOARDS IN THE CITY Tiruchirappalli is centrally located at Tamil Nadu. There are 3 major National Highways connecting and pass through Tiruchirappalli. Often there are vehicles cross the city and they do not know how to go out of the city for other destinations. I personally have 4 / 5 incidents (experiences) One time they want to go to KARUR and they do not know how to go to the Karur BYE Pass road. Other people want to go to Thanjavur, Gandhi market, Samayapuram, Vekkali Amman Temple etc

MODERN TECHNOLOGY: 4.IT industries introduces to our cities. 5.Finally Any technology introduced it's must only used to "our peoples" Finally i request to Government any developement introduces doesn't important things but that's things are maintain in a important one..then publish awereness to our peoples.

MODERN TECHNOLOGY: 1.Introduced to Advanced communication Technology(wifi and other tech.) and giving to Facilities.. 2.Infrastructure is a must our Cities. Because our cities will growing to big population after few years.so every plan to discuss think about future.(road,construction,traffic and etc.) 3.Easily access to facilities concept...that's card system to access anything because it's now important things "time is gold"

Our Trichy is second place of Cleaning City in Overall India.. so we will Concentration to "EcoSystem" and "Modern City(it's use of People)" ECOSYSTEM: 1.First sapling plants in everywhere our City and then Importants that's all Maintain. 2.Introduce to develope a Gardens. 3.Step by Step reduce the polutions 4.Use of Solar energy in everywhere

Trichy can make use of its potential; - Hot hotter and hottest days sun light and go for solar energy - presence of BHEL for producing power from waste material - presence of many Cement plants to use municipal waste, sewage sludge and rice husk as fuel and avoid waste dumping land - river base and lot of cultivation - Go for generating organic manure from municipal waste and avoid pesticides TRICHY GO FOR GREEN CITY AND LEAD FROM THE FRONT !

Trichy can make use of - Hot hotter and hottest days sun light availability to go for solar energy and outclass all other cities - presence of BHEL for producing power from municipal waste - presence of many Cement plants to use municipal waste, sewage sludge and rice husk as fuel and avoid waste dumping land - lot of cultivation lands require manure as the organic manure can be generated from municipal waste and go for organic agriculture and avoid pesticides - GO FOR GREEN CITY!
