Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

3. We have to create a Children's Park & water theme park near Kambarasampettai or Ayyalaaman paddithurai near Kudamurutti. 4. Drainage system of Trichy has to be regularized properly. Special attention should be given in Melapudur bridge & Thillai nagar Tennur area. 5. To give proper advertisement in websites for Pilgrimage Tourism in Trichy. 6. Instead of finding new place for smart city, we have to develop the infrastructure facilities of the existing wards to become smart city.

1. It is necessary to create Car & Two wheeler parking in Mainguard gate area. This may be constructed near backside of Poombukar , Singarathopu. So that we can regularize the un-regularized parking in Mainguard area. In Central Bus stand , the exiting Two wheeler parking should be expanded. 2. Now Trichy is well connected with 4 way roads. For getting this benefit we lost thousands of big trees. Atleast now we can think of plantation of trees near the roads within City corporation limit.

Transportation in our City - 1) As we all know trichy is very well connected with all means of transport within our state and other states , it would be good if we have more train connectivity. For Eg : Trichy to Bangalore we have only one train , it would be good if this service increases 2) Traffic Signal -Even though there are many traffic signals are there in our city , they are not maintained properly or not used effectively.ForEg:One present in Main gaurd,it shud be used to its core

gov can giv 2 plants to every house.In city the main areas can served with wi-fi.safe collection treatment and disposal recycling human,solid and hazardous wastes.Police and other officers should giv respect to common man not to support for vips. corrupted officer should punished.gov can keep various exams and competition.Dont built building in agri areas. gov can arrange montly medical check up.the municipal water can be filtered.built 2 or 3 parks.dont alow to put small shops in roadsid.

Cleaning staffs of Corporation should be given required things like glouse and uniform which should be assured to make them safe. They should be given recognition. They should be given good salary(as they are doing the most difficult job). They have to be respected more. This is really a smart city needs.

Factory like BHEL to be implemented. It will increase employment opportunites for people and also for small firms. Areas and surrounding in our city to be maintained like BHEL.

A sizeable amount of money from the smart city grant must be allocated for educating civic sense to the public. If intensive awareness campaigns are carried out then definitely smart Trichy is very close to achieve.
