Misleading advertisements, tricks gullible consumer in purchasing the products and services which are often health hazards or substandard in quality, for example – various pills/food supplements, fairness creams, etc.  The Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India having its office at New Delhi, would not be able to check the menace of misleading advertisement without the active participation and help from the State Governments, local self-Governments and the Police department of the States. These authorities are expected to intensify their action against the misleading advertisements as also the misleading advertisers on their own or once altered by the voluntary consumer organizations.

There should a organisation of 100 eminent persons from all walk of life from each city to give their independent views and their view will be scored from 1 to 10 scale. If any such advertisement failed , that can be blocked.

As consumers , we have often come across various advertisements by almost big brands offering gifts every hour , minute , seconds too...( Remember the kurkure advertisement during Diwali time etc) . This is purely fooling all the customers. Such companies just try to play with the festive sentiments of the Indian consumers . How many times have they released the list of people who have won something or the other. Because no one ever wins anything. All such brands should be fined by the govt.

whatever number advertiesed by govt for railway like RPF, coach supporter should not be for just advertising. I personally tried to contact these numbers while travelling from Mumbai to Baroda during diwali vacation and there was unbeliviable crowdy train and it was difficult for us to step down @ baroda. We have tried to call all the number advertiesed by railway but did not get any support. How could people step up without tickets. and what is escalation matrix for those who d't respond timely

A localized Action Committee can be devised at District/Tehsil level, that primarily scans through the advertisements to find the misleading ads. Also an online/mobile based application must be designed to crowd-source all such cases and effectively work to eradicate such advertisements. In addition to this a penalty must be imposed on the media involved in these advertisements for future prevention.

There must be a portal where everyone can complaint on any product or service. Two types of complaint section can be there 1st free and 2nd paid. In free section one can book complaint and that will be solved first come first serve basis. And in paid section action on complaint will be taken in 1 week. And there must be value of penalty fixed by government which companies have to pay to suffered consumers.
