Govt. Should focus on financial literacy. 60% People in rural area go to bank only to know their balance and get their passbook printed. Error in name, father's/ mother's name, address, DOB in various documents (ie - name in voter's id is ram kumar while in aadhar card it is ram kumar prasad.) is also a cause to the inconvenience of the public. It is strongly needed to work on it and make people aware about banking rules and regulations in easy words frequently by news papers.

My suggestion is to waive off income tax on individuals completely as the contribution of individuals income tax is very low. it will help people to show all there money to do business and it will increase the total turnover in the country. The problem of black money will be finished for ever. And indian people will do business freely and will reach the heights and also will be able to compete in international markets.

Also, a higher tax exemption slab and a reduction in tax rates may encourage more people to file taxes. Currently, only around 3% of India’s population file their taxes.

This is on top of every citizen’s list of expectations. With the demonetisation announcement in November leading to massive inconvenience for the common man, many are expecting the government to increase the tax exemption slab from Rs 2.5 lakhs to Rs 3 lakhs. There may also be a reduction in the tax rates, which currently stands at: • 10 % for incomes above Rs. 2.5 lakhs • 20 % for incomes above Rs 5 lakh • 30 % for incomes above Rs 10 lakh

“The current financial year has seen some landmark reforms, which should help boost tax collection. Hence, there are strong expectations of a significant cut in income taxes, for both corporates & individuals. Overall, consumption has been severely impacted in the last couple of months, and firm steps to boost consumption & improve consumer sentiment, are crucial for the retail & ecommerce sectors”.

1.Introduce income tax benefits on the money sent to dependent parents or relatives. 2.Tax slabs should be restructured instead of having a flat 30% on Rs 10 lac and above as people will have motivation to pay if it is structured as per the income. This way overall tax collection will increase. 3.Incentives or some benefits for people using the public transport system to reduce traffic congestion( But this should be augmented with better public transport systems across cities)
