India severely lagging in 2 sectors pertaining to Engineering : a) Power Electronics - Most basic components of IGBT Technology and products are all imported. All Aircraft, modern railway technology, Space technology are dependent on high-power IGBT. No R&D activity is seen in India to develop indigineous high-power IGBT Technology. b) Advanced Metallurgy is most important for any countries developments. Most of the CRGO and Copper, which are two basic elements in power industry are imported.

Justice delayed is justice denied. So also punishment delayed is justice denied to the offended party. Every Indian has a right to see that persons who commit a crime to society by doing wrong things to society are punished by law. In a verdict yesterday by a District Court,11 Government officials who were found guilty for misdeeds committed in 1993 were punished with 2 year jail. Two were already dead and others were granted bail. What a mockery of legal provisions! Are not people fooled?

WE ARE WAITING FOR NEW POLICIES ON ENVIRONMENT , ILLEGAL MINING , ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTION, CONSERVATION OF DRINKING WATER.

WE ARE WAITING FOR NEW POLICY ON HOUSING AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVLOPMENT, LAND ACQUISITION.

WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR GOVT. TO ANNOUNCE NAMES OF 100 SMART CITIES AND OLD BIG CITIES FOR UPGRADATION.

WE WANT THE GOVT. TO TAKE INITIATIVES ON SOLAR ENERGY ROOF TOP PANELS FOR A START IN RURAL HOUSEHOLDS.
