We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

The mighty riverSiang not only provide livelihood to the people but also a unique playground for water sports like Colorado. If properly tapped, these would open the floodgate of tourists coming to Arunachal, the DC opined.

Atleast, one or two city clock towers are also be installed in the market area. Use of Polythene for carrying, triple or tarpaulin for shade in the market be banned. As all these waste polythene/plastic make bazaar very ugly and unhygienic.

Agriculture, Horticulture, Handloom & Handicarft are being practiced in most of the Households of the district and are a form of revenue generation and self-employment. The problem of unemployment can be effectively mitigated by promoting the handloom & Handicraft products by increasing the quality of the product which will automatically increase the market demand and income generation.

The stress on ‘Home Stay’ involving local communities in all tourism initiatives. there were few important factors, such as proper road and rail and air connectivity and accommodation facilities with clean and hygienic foods, ATM kiosks, handicraft and local crafts sales facilities and basic hygienic amenities at the halting points and en-route.

Sirki hydro – power also be improved with immediate effect. ‘Sibot Korang at Bodak village also be proposed for installation of Mini hydro power station. If installed hydro-power over these mentioned rivers, there will be no question of shortage and irregular supply of power to Pasighat City. A SMART CITY without its own power stations will be meaningless.

Technology has hardly any role to play. Sensor technology as implemented in the irrigation system in Parc del centre de poblenou of Barcelona can be adopted here too, where real time data is transmitted to gardening crews about the level of water required for the plants. Also, Pasighat should have enough educational institutions so as to accommodate the varying interests of students pursuing different courses.

Tourism is a lucrative industry that provides lot of job opportunities that has a multiplier effect on economy, she pointed out. Pristine beauty and location advantage of Pasighat could play leading role to showcase the colorful and diverse culture of Arunachal Pradesh in general towards promotion of tourism.

A full switch to Government to Customer e-Governance will cost a large amount of money in development and implementation.[4] In addition, Government agencies do not always engage citizens in the development of their e-Gov services or accept feedback.
