We need to keep clean the Rajpath. All the street vendors who sell food items should be made responsible watchers for the clean drive. They should be trained and made responsible for a certain areas, like making groups of the street vendors. If any area under the group is found to be not clean then he or she should be banned from business in the Rajpath. If this idea works in Rajpath we can take it to other market places also.

CLEAN ALL THE CENTRAL,STATE GOVT ,LOCAL OFFICES. CREAT STANDERDS FOR EVERY OFFICE,TODAY MOST OF THE GOVT OFFICES ARE SUFFOCATING,AND NON HYGENIC AND GREEN ENVIRONMENT IN EVERY OFFICE ,DEVELOP THE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE CONFERT OF PUBLIC,LIKE GIVE A SPECIFIC COLOUR TO DISTINCT GOVT OFFICES,START POLICY BOARD SYSTEM IN EVERY SYSTEM TO EAISLY COMMUNICATE WITH COMMON PEOPLE TO GIVE ORGINAL INFORMATION FOR GOVT POLICIES AND DIVIDE EVERY OFFICE ON THE SCALE,ACCORDINGLY GENERATE FACILITIES THERE.

I live in Pimple Saudagar, Pune. When I go for a walk everyday I see many open places where people throw garbage. They are probably collected by the municipal workers after a few days/weeks. I wonder why the local authority cannot provide closed dustbins for this purpose ,as done in many european countries, in every street corner so that the stray dogs and cows wont litter them around.

thanks @navin jindal .Whenever we eat something in a journey we immidiately like it to throw in either dustbin or on roadside.Thats why i suggested to avail dustbins in ensure clean india.

INIATIVE TAKEN MY Mr PM is Good but we cant see that in urban india specially in Mumbai since when we travel by train where we dont see toilets and all mens using open space near platform as toilet request you to build 2 toilets minimum on each plat form on starting side and in the end side of the platform then only people will see that THERE IS SOME CHANGE in the ground level

@Yogesh Karudkar good point. But dustbins in buses/trains is not sufficient, in fact there must be dustbins at road side. What usually happen to me these dayz while traveling :- bought something to eat....did not drop wrapper on road considering Modi's safaai abhiyaan.....not able to find a single dustbin on roadsides....ended up litter on road-side.

While travelling in one city to another or in a long journey travellers eats food etc.At the same time after completion of food they throw garbage either outside or inside the bus or train hence it should be made mandatory to government or pivate bus operators or indian rail to provide dustbins inside the bus/ train to make our efforts for swacch bharat in broader way.

Sir, Swattch Bharat Abhiyan is a great and long over due initiative. Sad to see that the Urban and educated, while showing keen interest in this important issue have limited themselves to talking and blogging. It is very common to see "educated" people litter streets with cigarette butts, Coffee cups, etc not to mention household garbage too being thrown on streets, drains and gutters. I often wonder what can be done to bring in change and make this movement a success.

there are business activities thriving on public land, footpaths. Namely, building material suppliers, tent houses, commercial transport vehicles and unauthorised food article vendors like green coconut vendors, food vans. These businesses occupy footpath and park vehicles which do not allow any cleaning effort, neither they themselves clean these spaces. Such business activities need to be relocated elsewhere.

Can we PLEASE have an email address to post complaints of garbage burning in the different zones if Delhi. Also please provide a telephone number on which Haryana And U. P number plate cars that pollute can be reported. Thanks
