Khadi, the unconventional weapon used by Mahatma Gandhi is
synonymous to the freedom struggle of India. Interwoven with the
‘charkha’, the fabric is the thread of freedom, self-reliance and evolution
of the nation.
FLO is privileged to partner with AIWEFA for “KHADI GOES GLOBAL”, an
initiative to popularize Khadi further, preserve our heritage, protect the
interests of the artisans and augment the sector.

जब तक बुनकर समुदायों को इससे जोड़ा नहीं जाएगा तब तक ये योजना सफल नहीं हो सकती है। इसमें बुनकरों का स्वर्णिम भविष्य होना चाहिए।

1) Need to research and develop new technologies for improving the quality of product 2) use modern equipment and reduce the manpower involvement in production process 3) Cotton planting and other all agricultural sectors to consider as industrial sector 4) Prepare land bank to rent land for cotton plantations and other agricultural investors because to avoid the investment in buying land 5) Provide low percentage interest for cotton plantations and hand loom

Handloom sector can only be raised by working at ground level to know what actually is in need. Taxes should be imposed but in liberal manner accordingly, employment should be generated by this engaging people who are willing to work flexibly. Transportation facilities should be improved and linking of roads a major concern for generating income by handloom sector, rural areas should be major concern when engaging employees. Easy availability of raw material is vital. Handloom is a big need.
