Handloom and powerloom are confusing for layman. As I know it goes by shopkeeper and salesman with advancement in engineering anything is possible to save labour costs. No doubt handloom can give employment .Hand made articles have international demand. How our country can cater to international taste and quality to generate foreign exchange is critical Selected co-op societies with qualified personal for international marketing strategies plays a major role and govt should subsidize

Our nation is one of the best and unique styles creating the Handloom. But,Unfortunately they slowly going out of our nation, because no one is ready to buy that things expect some of them.Whereas many of Foreigners are readily Buying our Handlooms for they are very much stunned that Indians are good in their unique styles. So,we need to make an Awarness to our society .At the same time we need to keep learning some new arts and crafts. As we done in schools making the arts from the wastematerial

In our state Tamil Nadu, the then collector Mr.Sahayam I.A.S, was incharge for co operative society. He is a honest officer.
the society was running under loss.
As soon as he took the charge, he turned it into a profitable sector. He announced lot of schemes and because of that the sales increased. For example,
1.The photos of the person who weaved the saree or dhothi will be printed.
2.on important occasion all the school students, college students, official will be wearing the handloom costum

this sector is undergoing tough time and to develop this sector we are pleased to suggest the fallowing
1.To have a separate ministry for the hand loom industry
2.Strict implementation of the identified items to be manufactured in the hand loom sector only though it is there failure in the implementation to modified strict rules to be put in place and fallowed.
3.GST on hand looms to be abolished or reduced to the bare minimum.
4.Gross root implementation of the schemes
5. Artisans wards.

With the handloom products, we can encourage export in this sector and it is a sure point that handloom will get a better market in other countries too.
If proper platform and support is provided then surely it will give a boost to the economy as well and employment to the people in villages. It will also support to control beggerism in the country.
It is a simple concept that blueprint is needed to restart this super made in India product range. we have a capacity and can do it.

I have seen how this sector works during my childhood In the village of madhya pradesh - Lodhikhda.
That was the time when you pass by the lane you can hear the sound of those handloom machines.
People were not concerned because of only 2 or 3 patterns in that whereas if we think now we have all the opportunities to come up with some new settings for some designs, products, patterns & if they get a good market with fair amount of profit, this will work. Many products can come up with Handloom.

handloom sector
is tradditional one, with time taking process,
needs modern touch & generation orientated
so we have to preserv it ,our responsibility
like any other generation orientated platform
eg politician upto nxt generation (doctors, adv)
state should give some facilities to preserve
if generation involvement & upto nxt, facilities
in any other form
