Handlooms, a traditional wear in India has lost its significance slowly with the advent of low cost and eye catchy synthetic materials. However, with the notion of 'Make in India' campaign and the planning commission giving it a due place in the economic sector under other priority sectors is regaining its unique identity. USA, UK, Germany and France are among the top ten countries to where the Indian handloom products exported. The Indian government launched Handloom brand.
