Lockdown 3.0 starts from 4th May. It was easier to enter into the lockdown but it is much more difficult to come out of it without compromising with loss of lives or economy. The only advantage is that people are more aware about the characteristics of the hidden enemy. But it is the fear of any mistake, gone deep inside both the government and public is prohibiting from taking a hard decision to come out of it. But that decision is inevitable and has to be taken one day ofcourse with risks

In this discussion, people seem to have mixed Khadi with Village Industries. So, some excerpt from Wikipedia. Khadi: refers to hand-spun and hand-woven cloth. Raw materials may be cotton, silk, or wool, which are spun into threads on a charkha
Village Industry: Any Industry that is located within a rural area where investment does not exceed a limit.
Relevance of Khadi & Village Industries: is that they are labour intensive in nature and are suited to a labour surplus country like India.

Govt has redefined Red, Orange and Green Zones on 1st May. Now, it would be district wise. Districts are a very large measurement for this purpose. District area can be more than 100 sq Km. Looking at size of districts, it would have been better to subdivide districts into 3 zones for easing lives of people. there may be instances where reported active case may be more than 10 Kms. So, containment shall be applied to Red and limited activities in orange zones only. No restrictions in Green

Sir. Pl. start developing the Khadi industry at village levels immediately. This will provide employment. Sell the products in India as well abroad at very competitive rates so that the export is captured. The khadi product like gents and ladies wear will have to undergo certain changes so that the dress material is attractive and sales also gets a boost. Digital selling preferred. Thanks. Jai Hind.

The handloom products are very beautiful and worth buying but the people selling them keep high profits and sell which protects people feom accessing it. Even the Handloom Producers do not get appropriate value for the same. A Platform to be created wherein the Buyer's can buy directly from the sellers and there should be some price caping so that it does become workable. some percentage can go to the Platform for managing its affairs but no extravagant profitability allowed

Dear Honorable Minister,
We need to look at all the possible users of hand-loom products in the world. If we limit ourselves to domestic users the volumes will not be enough to help the weavers. We need to design and develop hand-loom products for global designers keeping in mind all the countries where women and men wear different types of clothing. We need to involve NID and NIFT students to study the global markets and see how we can best make changes to our designs for international users
