'Karnal' is one of major city of Haryana. It is also known as a city of 'Daanveer Karna'. Selflessness is the foundation of the city. It is known all over the world for production of Rice, Wheat, and Milk and for agriculture research Institutions like NDRI, CSSRI, Wheat Research Directorate, National Bureau of Animal Genetics Resources, Sugarcane Breeding Institute, etc.

The city is growing at a great pace towards development and information sector making it an important magnet for the state of Haryana.

How do you see Karnal as a smart city in next 5 years?

With reference to smart city karnal I wish to submit the following suggestions: 1 :Working of Street lights on main roads and interior streets must be maintained. 2 :Some trees located on and within the main road in UE (Sector-13)should be removed. 3 :Working of Red lights on all crossing within the city and on G T road must be maintained . 4 :Welcome gates during celebration should be wider and digging of road for the gates must be avoided. Road's in karnal are having very bad condition.It creats lot of problem and invites accidents.Some projects of reconstresting the road have started but still pending by like the flyover of NH1 and the Agarrsane chocke road.it should be mantained for public use.
