Satna has been shortlisted as an aspirant in the smart cities challenge by Ministry of Urban Development. The Municipal Corporation is preparing a Smart City Proposal (SCP) that will include smart city solutions and an outline of the consultations held with the city residents and other stakeholders. Municipal Corporation of Satna hereby invites suggestions from citizens of Satna for making ‘Satna a smart city’.

The residents may post their views pertaining to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Satna City.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 30th October, 2015.

S: The industrial base and good employment opportunities. W: Encroachment on the city roads and pollution. O: connectivity with important centers of the state and set up of new factories. T: Pollution and political intervention.

S: Cement factory and limestone belt W: Encroachment and political pressure, less awareness among public. O: Education and industrial hub-it will make the talent pool available for the upcoming industries in the city, also there is a huge scope for medicinal facilities to be made available in the city. T: Pollution control measures should be taken.

1-focus on mass transportation, fixed bus stoppage 2-smartphone app should be introduced for public to complain 3-pooja,marriage,pandal should not allowed on roads or lanes 4-all waste producing industries as dairy oil mill etc. have to be shifted outside the city boundary 5-housing for all 6-a green belt along river side developed as picnic spot 7-all mode of payment and tendering should be online 8-maximum use of natural resources as solar 9-flyover and footover bridge for busy road

1-waste management waste should be removed from road early morning everyday waste disposal plant already installed Reura farm 2-adequate water and electric supply 3-road widening should be done 4-corporation any transaction should be online basis 5-encroachment from crossing and road sides should be removed and in should be ensured it is clear permanently 6- PCR vans and all crossings should be equipped with video camera 7- flyovers to be planned where the density of traffic is thick

1-Central area of city shop's should be on 1st and 2nd floor and parking on ground floor 2-commercial complex to be constructed over broad nalas crossing from city 3-dairy must be shifted outer area of city 4-satna is surrounded by rivers from 3 sides there wider green corridore may be planned 5-adequate parking area to be provided near commercial complexes 6-"Abhiyanta evam Vastuvid sangh Satna" will be pleased to provide complementary help/advice to corporation as and when required
