I have been observing in Gujarat especially in Vadodara that the technicals skilled labour availability is a matter of concern . There could be following reasons to this :1.the real industrialisation in Gujrat started @ 10 to 12 years back and the small enterprises have started taking shape in last 6to 7 years leading first generation availability of labour which is much less than the demand.
2.The tie ups of technical institutes with big manufacturing companies is weak leading to demand supply

I personally feel the conditions at the worksites need to be improved so that more people can enter in this field as it is considered as risky and hazardous job. Some engagement activities to be introduced to keep them motivated at work.As far as right skill is considered the Mining institutes to collaborate with near by colleges and design the entire course and infact faculty should be the person whjo has actually worked on the ground and productive employees should be invited for workshops in those institutes ,which will improve the morale of the employees as well as it will be very relevant for the students
