The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP. For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Technical skills development should be encouraged in mining sector by permitting expenditure of 5% of wages on training in skills required in industry. Young matriculates to be selected by a transparent competitive test for training and a stipend could be paid; as used to be done in apprentice training schemes for Gun Carriage Factory Jabalpur. The trainees who pass a qualifying examination, could be certified fit for artisans job in mines. Corrupt recruitment practices to be stopped.

Just by suspending three persons against death of 10 persons in Bilapur is not enough. Daring and drastic Steps are required to implement quality of medical services in private and government hospitals. Do you think that by writing 500 words, I should feel good and desh age jeyaga. I insist that not money but discipline is required in this sector.

We waited for two and a half hours for the CM and he came and left within almost two and a half minutes. This was the question hurled at me by my 12 year old daughter when Haryana CM Hon. M L Khattar came (almost running straight to the stage after cutting ribbon and even straight to the dias without even being called for to read his pre –written 4-5 lines message )to inaugurate the Bhagwan Mahavir Library in Rohtak. Honourable PM sahib I have always been a supporter of the BJP sice it formati

Every incentive should be in the form of better living standards, good food to eat, quality sleeping hours, and feeling of a sense of achieving something which stays long lasting in our minds and brings respect to the nation, teachers, parents, and friends.
