Our Embassies & Missions should concentrate more on Trade &Commerce with posting of Officers from the nodal Ministries of Industry, Commerce & Finance. The Officers posted should have excellent domain knowledge & oratory skills in driving across the strengths of the home grown talent in the respective fields. Secondly when trade delegations from India visit the respective countries these officers should facilitate discussions with counterparts & gather required intelligence& share with our trade

My experience an an NRI in Nigeria( 1980 -95) and in Mauritius since April 2013 with heads of Missions and staff has been satisfactory. However a lot more could be done proactively by all missions in promoting India as Tourist Destination and country's image by emphasis on strong economy and technological development through exhibitions with theme " Incredible India " and " Make in India" Looking forward to an opportunity to meet the Hon Prime Minister Modi ji during his visit to Mauritius.

The Embassy staff lives in the most expensive residential area in the city, travels comfortably, their children study in international schools, all at the expense of the Indian government. They interact only with elite local community. Never do they have to rent accommodation, nor pay fees from their pockets. Hence, they are unaware of the realities faced hy Indian community in that country. Unfortunately, such high ranking officers are the ones trying to develop bilateral strategies.

I would like to share with you that I have submitted my passport for renewal at BLS (outsourced by Indian embassy) ,and I wanted to add my wife name in passport, the BLS has rejected to add my wife name in passport even I was having marriage certificate issued by Gujarat government with attested by external affairs they said that home state stamp required on certificate. it was not mandatory requirement on their website.

Dear PM,
I have been living in Toronto, Canada for a few years now. I would like to share with you that the citizen service centres (outsourced to BLS by Indian embassy) here are in pathetic state as far as cleanliness is concerned. Their carpet floors have not been vacuumed for months and the sight of used tissues lying on floor is common.
Sir, I am very inspired by your 'Swachh Bharath Abhiyan' and I would like to see it reach these centres as well.
Thank you for your time and initiative.

Yoga is a way of life. Regular practice of yoga helps to ward off all life style diseases. Gives more self confidence and balancing of body mind and soul. Especially in cases of chronic diseases, where modern medicines are not so very helpful, yoga ensures complete rejuvenation and revival of energy. It is a pleasure to live a life, where the body operates with the direction of the owner of the body, than the body dictating tantrum. A practitioner of yoga feels that his or her life is more satisfying and the greed aspect is less or absent. He is happy to be in groups, work for group dynamics, with a robust health is more cheerful.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation techniques since my adolescent days. I am sure it has made me free from chronic childhood disease like asthma, be active inspite of double spinal disc prolapse, and also to manage my work and home life effectively. As a clinical psychologist, I believe yoga should be taught since the younger school days. My 3 year old grandchild does such beautiful yoga balancing, playing on beds with such vigour and cheerfulness, it is awesome. With full support, I am sure Yoga teachers shall be a highly skilled profession, with huge job prospects, healthy India and world people coming to India to learn these techniques from Indian Yoga experts. Grateful to our Hon’ble PM for raising the yoga as a marvelous art and science in world arena. Jai Hind.

I have stayed in more than 3 countries and overall Indian Embessies are NON SUPPORTIVE to their own countrymen and Bangladesh HCI is no different, even they are more arrogant and non supportive. They do not treat Indians good. i can give only 3 marks out of 10. they really need to treat human as human. they dictate diplomatically.
