It hurts to my my very ego and pride when any tom dick or Harry comes to tell me that they visited our embassy and it was dirty with beetle leaf spit marks on the walls (paan) And they mock that the embassy is representing real feel of India. When India's pride is reduced to a red spit mark I think I feel ashamed beyond words.

From Canada- Plane loads of students landing here everyday who have come to study and work. there is hardly any support to them from Indian Embassy. Biggest support needed is legal advice. They pay thousands of $$ to Lawyers- loss to students and for India and mental strain! if Embassy arranges some common issues and FAQ legal forum-It will help them a lot!

Had a very bad experience in German Embassy, New Delhi. They called up for VISA interview on phone without any prior intimation about time and as I could not pick the call they rejected my VISA. As I am a government servant and had to visit Germany for some official purpose, I requested a personal interview (which otherwise was not required) and was granted VISA, however during personal appearance too had to face very unfriendly staff.

Dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian embassies should definitely be more focused on strengthening Indian ties, work on relaxing visa norms for the country those are located in so Indian people have more opportunity to travel free without visas just like all others. Our passport should worth more now at least bit eased for professional like medical student, doctors and so. Indian economy is getting better so visas should become much easier(evisa/arrival) but happening vice versa JAIHIND

I see diplomatic activities as, having many sides- 1. building relationship across sections of that Nation. 2. Advance economic relationship thru dedicated expertise. 3. Handlers of NRIs & PIO and their financial woes & diff. in stays. 4. Very good command in multiple languages [ even if one were to use interpreter, 'language skill' helps in quickly identifying hoodwinking- always be on top over other side & be prepared; be ready] 5. Help our exporters' in all aspects. 6.Promote India withhosts.

I was in the then USSR & arrangements for PSU steel executives were good, due to separate official, of appropriate level. Thanks for our letters being sent / recd. thru diplomatic bags. This effective points-man could solve quite difficult situations in our training programs. I THINK, SUCH SPECIALISTS IN ECONOMICS FILED IN EVERY EMBASSY & RELEVANT STATE GOVT.'S EXPERT-REPRESENTATIVE COULD HELP SOLVE ISSUES WITHIN MIN. LOSS OF TIME. We were treated royally, thanks to then Indo-Soviet relationship

Some improvement Ideas: 1) There should some kind of citizen service desk to handle citizen request in more corporate way. 2) Some kind of Open house every month or a news letter to citizen.
